We have put the following FAQs on the website for information only.
If you'd prefer to talk to us rather than read them, just give us a call.
Q
Do all your properties have internet access?
A
Yes - internet access via WiFi is available at all properties. Subject to BT meeting its service obligations, superfast broadband should be available in all properties.
Q
Are all your properties available for individuals of for students applying as a group?
A
Picton Place is our only property that is aimed at students applying as indivdiuals. This is because it is popular with both 'first and second year' students - and with its thirteen bedrooms, it allows great opportunities to make friends and groups of friends that last through your student years.
Q
I have seen a property and rental price that I like - what do I do next?
A
For Picton Place
The next step would be to come and have a look at the property and the available bedrooms. Simply give us a call or text and we will arrange a viewing for you. This will allow you to get a feel for the overall accommodation and to check out which room would suit you best. Feel free to bring along your parents or a friend.
For all our other properties
The next step would be to come as a group and have a look at the property and the bedrooms. It would be really helpful if one student was nominated to make such arrangements for the group. Simply give us a call or text and we will arrange a viewing for you. This will allow you all to get a feel for the overall accommodation and to check out which room would suit you best. Feel free to bring along your parents if you wish.
Q
How do I go ahead to secure my accommodation?
A
Step 1
If you are part of a group that wish to book together, choose which rooms each of you would like - and make sure you all agree on the room choices and prices. If you are looking for a single room in Picton Place for yourself, pick a room that suits you best.
Step 2
When you let us know what room(s) you want, we will give you a copy of our rental contract and guarantor forms. In most cases, the guarantors will be your parents. We can normally hold your room(s) for a day or so to allow you more time to make sure you wish to proceed. When you are sure you wish to proceed, we can move on to the final step. Please note that there are times of demand when holding a room or property can be difficult.
Step 3
You return the completed guarantor forms - usually filled out by your parents or other relation.
Step 4
Once the gurantor forms have been signed and returned, it is now time to sign our contract. We will agree with you a suitable time for us to meet. All students making a group booking must be present for the signing of the contract, together with us as landlords. At this point, a payment of £200 -£300 will be required as a sign of good faith; this will then be used to offset the final term's payment. The contract signing will also be witnessed by an independent person.
The room or property is then yours and you can relax knowing that you have secured your accommodation in one of the best student properties around.
